Even in the 30s, people needed booze to get through the holidays.

The holiday season has arrived. It's a time for togetherness as families celebrate Thanksgiving. Christmas. Hanukkah. Repeal Day.

Because who can really deal with holiday cheer without serious sedation?

Tuesday [12.5] is Repeal Day, the anniversary of when the 18th Amendment to the Constitution (you know, that paper that says you can own guns and say what you want) was repealed by the 21st Amendment.

In English? Let's just say it bitch-slapped Prohibition into oblivion. It announced that not only is getting drunk and beating your wife not illegal - it's an American Pastime!

On Easter Christians celebrate the resurrection of Christ. On Repeal Day, Lushes celebrate the resurrection of Booze.

Please refer to your hymnal, and toast "Amen."
